Project Description
University College London Hospital, one of the largest PFI projects currently undertaken, saw the early formation of a joint venture between Amec capital projects and Balfour Beatty Haden Young. With an anticipated build programme over 4 years, the project team identified the need to establish an early supply chain.
Scope of Services
ASM were approached some two years prior to any site work to assist the Joint Venture in achieving financial close. This close and early relationship enabled all parties to review the scope, complete sensible value engineering studies, and plan the construction phase. We completed an 18 month contract for the design development, supply and installation of the site wide ductwork services on phases I & II and the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Wing, working on a space restricted site on one of London’s busy thoroughfares.
